What is a Manufactured Home Foundation Certification Inspection?

Also commonly referred to as a “HUD” Inspection

A Manufactured Home Certification Inspection, also known as a HUD Inspection, is a structural inspection to confirm the following:

The MFD home is permanently tied down.
The home will not float off the piers or foundation.
The drainage of the home will not flood the crawlspace or basement.

Why Do I Need A Manufactured Home Foundation Certification Inspection in Jacksonville?

The Department of Housing and Urban Development, more commonly known as HUD, sets strict standards for the design, construction, and installation of manufactured homes to assure the quality, durability, safety, and affordability of manufactured homes.

HUD prohibits selling, leasing, or offering for sale or lease, homes that do not meet the standards. Civil and criminal penalties may be sought for violations.

BJ was AMAZING. He found a significant oversight on our new build (roof missing the appropriate amount of vents). He even ended up having to come back at the end of the day to finish due to the water being turned off (he can't turn it on due to potential liability). HIs attention to detail was bar none. Our broker/realtor, Greg DeTullio provided two inspections as part of his service (at the time of this post). I highly recommend Greg as a realtor and BJ as an inspector. The inspections are priceless.
